I’m reading a book called “Mindless Eating” by food psychologist Brian Wansink. The research shows some bizarre things that make us eat more.
For example, if they have a big plate people eat 25 - 28% more food.

I watched a Horizon programme the other night, which was a summary of research over the years to do with weight loss.
They showed the classic experiment where they put both thin and overweight people in a calorific chamber so they could show exactly how much energy their bodies were using and therefore their “metabolic rate”. Read more »
